Getting started
Quick start
The fifteen-minute path: install, connect, import, crosspost.
This is the whole setup, start to finish. Budget about fifteen minutes, most of which is waiting for your existing listings to import.
Do it in this order. Each step depends on the one before it.
1. Create your account
Sign up at reskale.xyz/register.
You will verify two things:
- Email — a code arrives in your inbox; enter it to continue.
- Phone — a code arrives by SMS. This one is not optional. It is what keeps one person from spinning up disposable accounts, which is what gets a tool like this blocked by marketplaces.
New accounts start on a 7-day trial with full access. No card is needed to start. See plans and pricing for what happens after.
2. Install the browser extension
You will be sent to the install step automatically. If you skipped it, it is at reskale.xyz/install-extension.
Install from the Chrome Web Store, then reload the Reskale tab. The dashboard only detects the extension on a fresh page load.
The extension is not optional. eBay and Discogs have official APIs; Mercari, Depop and Vinted do not, and the extension is how Reskale works with them at all. Details and privacy specifics: install the browser extension.
3. Connect your marketplaces
Go to Connections in the dashboard sidebar (open it).
- eBay — press Connect and approve Reskale on eBay's own consent screen. This is OAuth; eBay never shows Reskale your password.
- Mercari, Depop, Vinted — log in to the marketplace normally in another tab of the same browser, then press Connect. Reskale uses the session your browser already has.
- Discogs — press Connect and approve on Discogs. Also OAuth.
A green Connected badge means it worked. Connect at least two — one to import from, one to crosspost to — or there is nothing for the next steps to do.
Trouble here is common and usually quick to fix: sync and connection issues.
4. Import your existing listings
On the same Connections screen, press Import now under each connected marketplace.
This pulls in what you currently have live: titles, photos, prices, condition and whatever else that marketplace exposes. A large closet takes a few minutes. You can leave the tab and come back.
Import is how Reskale learns what you already sell. Skip it and you start from an empty inventory, which means re-entering items you already listed.
More detail, including CSV import: import your listings.
5. Crosspost one item
Open Crosspost in the sidebar (open it).
Pick a single item you know well — good photos, a clear brand, a category you are sure about. Choose one marketplace to send it to. Press Crosspost.
Do one item first. If the field mapping is wrong for how you list, you want to find that out on one listing rather than sixty.
Walk through it in detail: your first crosspost.
6. Confirm it landed
Two checks, both worth doing the first time:
- In Reskale, the item shows the new marketplace with a live status.
- On the marketplace itself, open the listing. Read the title, check the photos, check the price and the category.
If it failed, the job carries the reason. Crosspost error messages lists what each one means.
You are set up
From here the day-to-day is:
- New item → Crosspost → Create → post to everything at once.
- It sells → Auto-Delist → pull the siblings down.
- Money in and out → Bookkeeping → year-end export.
Worth reading next, in rough order of how soon it will matter:
- How crossposting works — what happens when you press the button.
- Listing fields and requirements — why a marketplace rejects a listing that looked complete.
- The support matrix — what works where.
