Buyer discounts
Reach engaged buyers using the right native tool on each marketplace.
Reaching buyers who already showed interest — the people who saved, liked or watched your item — using each marketplace's own native tool for it.
Buyer Discounts (open).
Why it is one screen per marketplace
Every marketplace has its own way of sending a discount to interested buyers, and they differ in who gets it and how. Reskale uses each marketplace's own tool rather than pretending one button fits all.
| Marketplace | Tool | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| eBay | Send Offer to Watchers | A one-time discounted offer to everyone watching the listing |
| Mercari | Offer to Likers | A discounted offer to everyone who liked the listing |
| Depop | Offer to Likers | A discounted offer to each shopper who liked the item |
| Vinted | Offer to favouriters | A private discounted offer to each member who favourited it |
Each starts at the discount you saved for that marketplace in Settings. Anyone who accepts an offer buys at that price.
Discogs has no equivalent.
Using the marketplace's own feature is the point
These are the mechanisms each marketplace built and encourages. That is what keeps the activity legitimate — it is the same thing a seller does by hand, and it does not look like automation to the marketplace.
The alternative, simulating engagement or mass-messaging buyers, is what gets accounts suspended. Reskale does not do it. Same reasoning as Poshmark's removal.
Per-marketplace notes
eBay — Send Offer to Watchers
Sends a one-time discounted offer to everyone watching the listing. Works on listings with Best Offer enabled. Buyer offers appear in Offers; this screen is for reaching watchers.
Mercari — Offer to Likers
Sends a discounted offer to everyone who liked the listing. The listing price stays the same.
Reskale doesn't use Mercari's Smart Pricing, which lowers the listing price itself.
Depop — Offer to Likers
Sends a direct discounted offer to each shopper who liked the item.
Vinted — Offer to favouriters
Sends a private discounted offer to everyone who favourited the item. Vinted limits how many go out an hour, so a big run can take a few hours. The screen shows how far it has got, and you can stop it.
Expect inbox noise. Vinted implements this as a conversation with each recipient, so a heavy run floods your own Vinted inbox with dozens of threads that look like buyer messages and are not.
Messages filters these out so they do not bury real conversations, and tells you how many it hid rather than dropping them silently.
Pace yourself
Discount tools work best used sparingly. Buyers who follow your closet notice constant discounting, and it teaches them to wait rather than buy.
The other reason to go slowly is that a burst of activity looks automated to the marketplace, whichever tool you used to do it.
What Reskale will not do
- No follow-for-follow or mass following.
- No automated sharing loops.
- No fake engagement.
- Nothing on Poshmark.
If a competitor advertises those, that is a real difference between the tools, and the risk sits with the seller's account rather than the tool's.
