What it is for

Running out of mailers on a Sunday with six orders to ship is a small, entirely avoidable problem. Supplies exists to make it not happen.

For each supply you track:

• What it is — mailers, boxes, tape, labels, filler
• How many you have
• What you paid
• Where you bought it, as a link

Reordering

Each supply keeps its vendor link, so reordering is one click rather than a search through browser history for the size that fit properly.

The vendor link matters more than it sounds. "6x9 poly mailer" returns hundreds of results and you already found the right one once.

Costs

Supply purchases are a genuine business expense and belong in your books. Log them in Bookkeeping so they reduce taxable profit.

They are also worth watching per-item. Packaging is a real cost on cheap items — a £1.20 mailer on a £6 sale is 20% of the sale price before the marketplace takes its cut, and it is the cost most likely to be left out of a profit calculation entirely.
