Getting started

What is Reskale

One inventory, many marketplaces — what the app does and who it is for.

Reskale is a crosslisting and bookkeeping tool for people who resell for a living. You keep one copy of each item, list it everywhere you sell, and run the whole operation — sales, offers, messages, shipping, books — from one screen instead of six browser tabs.

It is built by a full-time reseller, which shows up mostly in what it refuses to do. See why Poshmark is not supported.

The problem it solves

Selling one item on four marketplaces means listing it four times, in four different forms, with four incompatible category trees. Then it sells on one of them and you have three live listings for something you no longer own — and whoever buys one of those gets a cancellation, which every marketplace punishes the seller for.

The manual version of this job is copy-paste plus vigilance. Reskale replaces both:

  • Write the listing once. Title, description, photos, price, condition and measurements live on one item record. Each marketplace gets a translated version of that record built to its own rules.
  • Post it everywhere in one action. Pick the marketplaces, press the button, walk away. Failures come back with a plain-English reason and a retry, not a red toast.
  • Take the duplicates down when it sells. Reskale watches your sales across every connected marketplace and shows you the siblings still live so you can pull them — or lets it happen automatically.
  • Keep the books as a side effect. Sales, fees and net land in the bookkeeping ledger as they sync, so tax season is an export rather than a reconstruction.

Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, Whatnot, Grailed and Shopify are on the list and not built. Poshmark is deliberately excluded — see Poshmark for the reasoning.

What you need to run it

  • A Reskale account on a plan that includes the web dashboard. See plans and pricing.
  • A Chrome-based browser — Chrome, Brave, Edge or Arc.
  • The Reskale browser extension. Most marketplaces have no public listing API, so the extension acts in your own logged-in browser session on your behalf. How that works and why.
  • Your marketplace accounts, already set up. Reskale sells through accounts you own; it does not create them.

What it does not do

Worth knowing before you invest an afternoon in setup:

  • It does not create marketplace accounts or repair suspended ones.
  • It does not buy your shipping labels. Labels are purchased in each marketplace's own flow; Reskale reads the tracking back.
  • It does not guarantee a listing is accepted. Marketplaces reject listings for their own reasons — banned brands, missing item specifics, category rules. Reskale reports the rejection with the reason.
  • It is not a bot farm. There is no follow-spam, no fake activity, no engagement automation. Automation that risks your account is not shipped, on purpose.

Where to go next

If you are setting up for the first time, the quick start is the shortest complete path.

If you want to understand the machinery before trusting it with your listings, read how crossposting works.
