Vinted
The marketplace most crosslisters do badly, and how Reskale handles it.
Vinted is a deliberate focus for Reskale. It is large, heavily UK and EU, and most crosslisting tools support it badly or not at all.
It is also the most technically awkward marketplace here, and this page is honest about where that shows.
Connecting
- Log in to vinted.com — or your country's Vinted domain — in the same browser.
- Press Connect on Connections.
Vinted sessions expire more aggressively than Mercari's or Depop's. Expect to reconnect periodically. This is Vinted's behaviour, not a defect.
Things that end a Vinted session quickly: clearing cookies, a VPN that moves you between countries, and logging in on another device.

Vinted's category picker bakes the full path into one value, so there is no separate subcategory field.
The upload form reveals fields progressively
Vinted's sell form hides most of its fields until a category leaf is selected. Size, condition and brand controls do not exist on the page until Vinted knows what kind of thing you are listing.
Practically: the category has to be resolved first, and correctly. A wrong or too-shallow category means the fields that follow never appear, and the listing cannot complete.
Shipping
Vinted runs its own integrated shipping. There is no per-account shipping profile to configure in Reskale, unlike Mercari and Depop — Vinted decides options from the parcel size you choose on the listing.
Delisting: hide, not delete
Vinted listings are hidden rather than deleted. The listing comes off the market and can be unhidden in Vinted later.
This runs by clicking Vinted's own Hide control rather than calling an endpoint directly — the direct request cannot be made reliably from outside their page, and pretending otherwise would produce delists that silently do nothing.
Sales and fees
Orders sync with buyer, fee and payout detail from Vinted's transaction data.
Vinted's order data does not carry a stable per-item identifier the way other marketplaces do, so orders are keyed on the transaction. This is invisible in normal use; it matters only if you are reconciling a Vinted order by hand against an item.
Shipment tracking
Vinted exposes a shipment journey per order, and Reskale reads parcel status from it. Tracking appears in Shipments.
Tracking lookups are budgeted and backed off rather than run at full speed. Vinted rate-limits, and a tool that hammers it gets the seller flagged.
Offers
Vinted offers arrive inside conversations rather than as a separate offers feed, so an offer is a message with an offer attached. Reskale extracts them into Offers.
Offer to favouriters
Vinted's native tool for reaching people who saved your item, surfaced under buyer discounts.
Worth knowing: using it heavily floods your own Vinted inbox with the resulting conversation threads. Those are your outgoing offers, not buyer messages — Reskale filters them out of Messages so they do not bury real conversations, and tells you how many it hid rather than dropping them silently.
Known quirks
- DataDome. Vinted uses bot-detection that can present a verification challenge. That challenge cannot be solved in a background tab. If Vinted actions start failing, open Vinted normally in your browser, clear whatever it asks for, and retry.
- Country domains. Vinted runs per-country sites. Stay on the one your account belongs to.
- Session churn. Reconnecting periodically is normal here.
- Listing detail lives on the wardrobe endpoint, not per item, which is why an import reads your closet as a whole rather than item by item.
Why Vinted is worth the trouble
It is one of the largest secondhand marketplaces in Europe and it is underserved by the incumbent crosslisters — most of which are US-first and treat Vinted as an afterthought if they support it at all.
If Vinted is a meaningful part of your business, it is the reason to use Reskale over an alternative.
Troubleshooting
- Everything fails suddenly — reconnect; the session probably expired.
- A verification challenge appears — open Vinted directly and clear it.
- Category fields never appear — the category leaf was not resolved; pick a more specific category.
